Wine Appreciation
Join us every Thursday at 7 pm in our Culinary Centre for Wine Classes.
Our instructor’s style is relaxed, passionate, engaging and very informative.
Each week will include a tasting of four to eight wines so students may experience the flavors, bodies, and aromas that appear in different wines. The focus will be on different bottles of a specific region or varietals, along with suggested food pairings.
This course introduces students to terminology and principles used in the wine industry. Focus will be on names and characteristics of grape varietals, differences between Old World and New World wines.
You will gain a better sense and appreciation of the worlds wine regions, the thought process of food and wine pairing and greater confidence in selecting wine for any occasion. In addition, students will cover a brief overview of other alcoholic beverages, including beer and distilled liquors.
